Two Heller Manus Architects Projects Receive ENR California 2025 Best Regional Awards

After several weeks of hard work, an independent group of AEC experts reviewed 145 projects from across California, Nevada and Hawaii and selected 30 Best Projects and 36 Awards of Merit. The Northern California subregion includes northern Nevada and Hawaii while the Southern California subregion includes southern Nevada.

Projects were evaluated on the ability of the project team to overcome challenges, their contribution to the industry and community, safety and construction and design quality.

The Martin in Sunnyvale received the award for Best Residential/Hospitality Project in Engineering News-Record California’s 2025 Best Regional Projects Awards. Designed as a mixed-use residential community in the heart of Silicon Valley, the project reflects a vision for contemporary urban living centered on wellness, connectivity, and community.

In Oakland, the historic Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts received an Award of Merit in the Cultural/Worship category. Originally opened in 1914, the landmark civic building has been carefully revitalized through extensive structural, seismic, and sustainability upgrades while preserving its historic character and cultural significance for future generations.

These recognitions reflect the dedication of the clients, consultants, builders, and project teams whose collaboration brought both projects to life.
