The Shanghai Changxing Island Pheonix Town East District Urban Design incorporates both office and residential uses into the functional city zoning. Sustainable office parks are miniaturized, ecological, and free-form architecture are integrated throughout the project. Riverside characteristics are incorporated into the residential areas, and there are beautiful river views around the wedge-shaped green space. Apartments are designed for the construction of small rooms, corresponding to white-collar workers' and rental needs. A pastoral-style housing area with multi-story residential buildings emphasizes the internal courtyard landscape and makes these buildings inviting and comfortable conducive to a happy home life.
